Reuben Coté was born in Australia and has always had an affinity with plants and gardens. He took inspiration from this and from the landscapes he saw growing up in a country that offers so much natural diversity.
At 18 Reuben studied horticulture at college in Melbourne. On completion of his course he worked for the local borough council with the team that maintained the parks and gardens. He was also employed in the native plant nursery specialising in indigenous species.
Reuben moved to England in 1998 to broaden his knowledge and experience. He worked for specialist garden design and construction companies and assisted in large scale landscaping contracts.
In 2000 Reuben started working alongside the corporation of London maintaining some of the most prestigious City of London gardens. The experience he gained in the creation of high quality show gardens proved invaluable and his knowledge of plant identification is exemplary. In addition he has a wealth of experience of working for private clients on a variety of projects.
Reuben has made a home for himself in the Poole area of Dorset and now runs Greentime Gardens. The company has provided him with a means of expressing his passion for creating outside havens even in the busiest of surroundings. He has a calm and focussed approach and is happy to discuss a job however big or small.
